Nice. Rayburns are excellent and easy to maintain, but like any solid fuel appliance make sure you have a Carbon Monoxide alarm and have it regularly serviced. Any competant chimney sweep should be well able to do that, and if you get yourself the right equipment you can do it yourself.

Few details on steelwork but looks a lovely boat subject to survey.I love that they show plans of their boats so you can easily see if the space would work. Someone else does it and its a dealbreaker about what marina to search for boats.

Very nicely done! She's the perfect size for singlehanding, and nicely laid out for living aboard, although I would prefer a reverse layout. The only negative I could see is that it looks like emptying the wc might be a bit of a faff getting the cassette out through that cupboard. Oh, and a larger water tank would be nice, space allowing (I do love my showers). I wonder what sort of cruising range the batteries give, or if the generator needs to be kept running?
Thank you - she is a great little boat. I have spoken to the boatbuilder and he says that she was designed to run for around 8-10 hours before the generator would need to kick in. The solar panels of course help to charge batteries, so on a sunny day that would help. The journey from Crick to North Kilworth the other day (about 4 hours), used 59%. Hope that helps.

@@lapsedluddite3381 She is sort of reverse layout, in that, you walk down into a seating area, but you are right, the galley at the aft would be great. Ovation Boats will build a boat to your own specification if you get in touch with them :)

Lovely boat,astoundingly good condition.No solar but thats not the end of the world.Can that legnth go in all locks,looking to buy within the year and was looking at 55-57ft but I like this one.
57 ft would enable you to navigate the full canal system, above that there are some lock you wouldn't get through.

Hi, no we do not have a chandlery on-site. Mattresses can be purchased online and delivered to the marina - we can recommend Ship Shape Bedding, and there are of course many others online.
This is a beautiful boat but 70ft of it was 60ft would be perfect imo

Hi, no, she has always been called Festina Lente from new.
New 14 years ago, this pretty steel tube would have been 90 k or so. Stick the steel tube in water for 14 years to start its slow march to rust heaven… and it’s 100k. What is going on in boat land ? The rate of infloatation ? Do I wait 30 years until it has holes in it and pay150k
I can assure you, having seen the original build receipts, that a boat of this quality cost way more than your guesstimate!

I quite like this boat but we're of an age past serious boat owning. A few design quibbles but good value. Just one thought. If you buy "new" thro a broker where do you stand with maker's warranty?
I feel modern / new boats without buyer input are just becoming like static caravans, you view and think yes that's everything we need. Once onboard and living with it you then think maybe not, also the prices are through the roof for what you're getting
I can't believe that's a new build. It's design it's just so plain. There's a lot of wasted space. And I don't think what was done inside is the right esthetic for the boat. That's just my humble Opinion. I would have put glass windows on the side of the water. I would have had a Reasonable space allotted for outdoor. As in it stays uncovered, most of the time. @@jeffebdy The CRT is going to kill the canal's and its the CRT high ups who are to blame just take a look at their salary's you have to remember the CRT is a voluntarily body and to Meany people have there sticky fingers in the pie.
If another £300 a year is going to send you broke it's probably a good thing you are staying away from boats.😂 It's still a very affordable lifestyle if you can look after the boat well and get plenty of use out of it.
For such a beautiful, relatively new build, £160,00 seems very reasonable!
